Vintage Hudson automobile car vase with leaf bracket

Vintage Hudson automobile car vase with leaf bracket.  My grandpa, deceased 20+ years ago, told me he took this vase off a Hudson he once owned.  The bit of twisted wire you see is something I added so I could hang it on the wall.  I don't know how and where it originaly attached to the interior of the car.  I would hope this would go to someone restoring their antique car.   It needs to go back to where it belongs.  I don't know whether my grandpa removed the vase from his car because he liked it and was selling the car, or the car was being junked.  That is something I never thought to ask.
