    Said to have been christened with water from the Pacific Ocean (brought from the West Coast for the occasion) a TWA Boeing 707 flew from Baltimore’s Friendship Airport to Los Angeles in 5 hours, 3 minutes. The return flight required only 4 hours, 13 minutes.
