    Description

This cover was flown on the 18th flight of the USS Los Angeles, ZR-3, from Bermuda (moored to the USS Patoka) to Lakehurst; this was the 3rd flight of the ZR-3 to carry mail.  The Los Angeles left on April 23rd and arrived at Lakehurst on the 24th.
Note, the Los Angeles was built in Germany, where it carried a LZ-126 hull designation.
    Cover included:
4/17/1925 Hamilton, Bermuda, cancel with 3-line postal cachet.  It has an additional 2-line cachet in blue and was serviced on a special yellow printed envelope by Edward Warden. It is listed as #6Ae variation in the 2003 Michel Catalog English Edition and 20P variation in the Sieger Katalog (for the LZ-126).  It is also listed as Z-506a variation in vol. 1 of the 5th edition of the American Air Mail Catalog.  The airmail cover has a sealed flap; it has been opened at the top.
Condition is as shown in the pics.  The cover shows some soil but is in quite nice shape.
